I learned to fly in 1972, a year after high school. I started flying in earnest after moving to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and purchasing a Citabria 7ECA in 1982.
The Aerobatic Club of Alberta was starting at that time, and because my plane was a basic aerobatic trainer, the guys from the club would always visit with me every time I went to the airport.
Two of the founding members of the Aerobatic Club had just completed the building of a Christian Eagle, and were a great source of inspiration to get into Aerobatic Competition.
Flying has always been a major part of hobbies, and I have been involved in the Aerobatic Club of Alberta, and also Aerobatics Canada, ever since.
I am currently the President of the Alberta club, and Vice President of Aerobatics Canada.
